Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), a vibrant retail and dining destination in the heart of Dubai, is partnering with Dubai Culture for a Ramadan book drive, “Drop a Book, Make a Difference”, as part of a joint mission from both organisations to empower minds and transform communities.
Until the end of March 2025, members of the public can donate their gently used books at one of the book donation boxes conveniently located across DIFC and selected Dubai Public Libraries. The initiative includes a Used Book Sale during Ramadan, running from 6 to 30 March 2025 at Gate Avenue 4 (formerly Zone D).
This special event provides an opportunity for the community to come together during the Holy Month of Ramadan, enjoy the tranquil surroundings of DIFC and explore a wide selection of books. Visitors can also extend their experience by enjoying iftar at one of DIFC’s many cafes or restaurants.
Proceeds from “Drop a Book, Make a Difference” will go towards supporting children's education in developing countries.
Books can be donated at DIFC locations including Gate Avenue 1 (Level 1, near Bite Me Burger & Dubai Can), Gate District Building 2 (near Caffè Nero), Gate District Building 3 (near Raspoutine Dubai), and Gate Avenue 4 (Level 1, South Market). Additional drop-off points are available at Umm Suqeim Library, Al Safa Art & Design Library, and other public libraries across Dubai.
