If you still haven’t got tickets to Disney On Ice at Etihad Arena this weekend, this is your sign.
For families it really is the perfect day out with the weather still being slightly on the toasty side, and the evening shows make for a lovely treat to let the little ones stay up late.
Expect to see classic characters Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Pluto open the show with a dose of nostalgia for us millennial parents and Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story joining them in a spectacular first ten minutes.
Watch the kids’ faces light up when Ariel from The Little Mermaid soars into the sky on a rope and spins around at a dizzying speed as Eric watches on from below; or when Moana and Maui take to the ice with a dazzling routine featuring a real-life boat and fire; plus Rapunzel who’s famous long hair is depicted by two huge reels of material which the actor uses to fly herself through the air.
All of the favourite Disney ‘princesses’ make an appearance from Cinderella to Snow White to Belle from Beauty and The Beast. You’ll have to wait until Act Two to see Elsa and Anna but it is so worth it.
What we loved most about this show was that the actors and characters are all super interactive with the audience and there’s not a bad seat in the house as all angles are always covered with a variety of performers. There’s no chance of the little ones getting bored with everything going on.
All ages can enjoy this show from toddlers to grandparents, making it a memorable family occasion. With an ever growing range of places to eat and drink on Yas Island, pop for an after show lunch or dinner and relive all the special moments to make this a great family weekend.
Disney on Ice is on at Etihad Arena from 16 – 20 October 2024. Head to Platinumlist for tickets. https://abu-dhabi.platinumlist.net/event-tickets/disney-on-ice-abu-dhabi
