Rising singer-songwriter Ghaliaa Chaker, recognised by Forbes as one of the region’s “Digital stars under 30”, releases her debut album, Nafsi El Oula, a significant milestone in her musical career.
The album rollout begins with the launch of its first track, Barki Byesmaani, now available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Anghami, YouTube, and Apple Music. Barki Beyesmaani showcases Ghaliaa’s free-spirited nature, expressing a desire to live a life free of judgment and limitations, a theme that resonates deeply with her Arab audience.
Nafsi El Oula' is a carefully crafted six-track album that immerses listeners in Ghaliaa’s diverse musical journey. Featuring English and Arabic compositions and a fusion of genres, the album showcases Ghaliaa’s unique artistic identity and musical and lyrical depth. It also features creative collaborations including a track with the rapper and the songwriter Ali Loka.
Distributed by Empire and published by SONY, Nafsi El Oula cements Ghaliaa’s position as a rising Arab artist in the international music industry. This release also marks her foray into hip-hop, showcasing her versatility as an artist.
"I have never been this transparent and vulnerable with self-expression," says Ghaliaa. The album offers a glimpse into Ghaliaa’s life, personal experiences, emotions, and artistic evolution. The album will feature two official music videos, starting with 'Barki Byesmaani' is now streaming on YouTube.
Ghaliaa’s career has been on an upward trajectory, with her recent achievements including a Forbes Under 30 recognition, a successful Middle East tour, and the hit song Akher Yawm being featured in the Netflix series Love Is Blind. Additionally, her viral track Abali amassed over 40 million views on YouTube.
Ghaliaa is preparing for a European tour while keeping true to her sound, creating music tailored for the GCC audience. Her contributions to the industry as a songwriter include penning a song for renowned artist Assalah. She was also nominated for Billboard’s Indie Arabic Female Artist of 2024, elevating her international presence.
