#LifeLessons - Biggest Life Learnings From Christa Moreau

NAME: Christa Moreau

AGE: 38

INSTAGRAM HANDLE: @christamoreau / @scentcorner

JOB TITLE: Perfume Expert, Travel Photographer & Children’s Book Author

Born and raised in France, Christa started her career working for a decade for top beauty and fragrance brands in Paris, London, Berlin and Singapore before moving to Dubai, where she is currently based.

Over the years of extensive travels, Christa always enjoyed searching the globe for the finest fragrant raw materials while being inspired by the local populations, and felt their story should be available for the world to see.

She contributed with indie magazines as both a freelance writer and photographer to share with readers around the world, how scents can be a way to discover a new country and experience foreign cultures. Now a mother of two young children, Christa’s experiences have inspired her to create a series of books that introduce children to the world of perfume, to encourage olfactory exploration but also emphasize the importance of cultural diversity and environmental consciousness.

Today Christa shares with us her biggest life lessons:

#LIFELESSON – 1 - Life leaves traces—follow them

The most meaningful paths I’ve taken didn’t begin with a plan. They began with a feeling. A place that called me. An idea I couldn’t explain. A scent in the air that lingered long after the moment passed. I’ve learned to trust these invisible threads, to follow what pulls at me softly, even if I don’t yet understand why. We often search for answers, but perhaps the real work is learning how to listen. The signs are there. The question is—will you notice them?

#LIFELESSON – 2 - Everything meaningful takes time to unfold

In perfume, the most beautiful notes are often the ones that reveal themselves slowly. They don’t shout; they stay close to the skin. Life asks for the same patience. I’ve had to learn how to move through the in-between — those quiet seasons when nothing obvious is happening, but something deep is shifting. Trust the slow work. Trust the waiting. Not everything needs to happen all at once to become something extraordinary. The things that matter most follow their own rhythm — usually quieter, often slower, always deeper.

#LIFELESSON – 3 - Leave space for wonder

Travel taught me this. So did motherhood. So does every blank page I sit down to write. We fill our days, our minds, our schedules — until there’s no room left to notice the sky changing color or the way a single moment can stop us mid-thought. But it's in the empty spaces, the quiet moments we almost overlook, that life reminds us what truly matters.

Protect the pauses. Honour the quiet. And never become so busy that you forget how miraculous it is to simply be here, breathing, with the whole world unfolding around you.
