On the 27th, she will lead a high-energy workout session designed to challenge and inspire attendees to become the best version of themselves.

Today Courtney shares with us her 3 biggest life lessons:

#LIFELESSON – 1 - WHAT DOESN’T CHALLENGE YOU WON’T CHANGE YOU

My warriors and community will have heard me say this a few thousand times, but it really is my ultimate life lesson. The comfort zone is a lovely place but nothing at all grows there. To really make a difference, and make a real change, you have to take the risk and take the leap. This might not only be in fitness, but also key business decisions, relationships or just general life. You have to be prepared to believe in yourself and back yourself the whole way. As humans, we are literally designed to thrive off challenges. Once we have pushed ourselves once, we get more and more confident and it becomes a knock-on effect.  For some people it might be super small, others won’t be content until they’ve climbed the entire mountain. But what is important is making sure YOU are pushing your own boundaries of comfort.

It’s important to not let the fear of failure stand in your way. There are many things that haven’t worked out for me in the past. But instead of giving up and throwing in the towel, each of these challenging ventures have taught me invaluable lessons. I now simply view failure as a stepping stone to success. All it takes is a little belief in yourself and you can take on anything life throws at you!

#LIFELESSON – 2 - FIND WHAT YOU LOVE TO DO

I can’t stress enough how important it is to be passionate about what you do. Sitting in a job that you could not care less about will not only dampen your spirit but drain your creativity and drive. The longer you stay at it, the worse this downward spiral will become. Of course, we all have to endure things we don’t want to do here and there. No matter your field of work there will be boring, difficult, tough days and challenges. But if you have a clear WHY for why you are doing this every single day you’re going to be far more likely to show up for yourself and other people and give it your all everyday.

My why is my community, I know that every day they are relying on me to show up and make them feel healthier, stronger, fitter and happier. Whether that be on the workouts themselves or the more tedious days getting into dev work and planning to make sure we are delivering the best service possible. Your passion is often right in front of your face. If you have to think or look too hard for it, you probably aren’t passionate enough about it.

And don’t expect to find it straight away, some people will be fortunate enough to know what they want to do and their purpose straight from the get-go. I had a few jobs in finance and the city that were complete opposite to what I do now. My eating disorder lead me to some dark places, but ultimately it lead me to make a change and shift my attitude to health and fitness. Instead of treating exercise as a punishment for eating, I became educated on how to use fitness and food to improve my health and happiness, something I am a huge advocate of now. My purpose comes from wanting to spread this message far and wide. But just know that what’s meant for you will find a way, providing you show up and work hard enough at it.

#LIFELESSON – 3- DON’T TAKE YOURSELF TOO SERIOUSLY

My life changed in March 202o when we were completely locked in, facing a global pandemic with no choice but to make the most of this time or completely crumble. I started to show up every single morning in lockdown, live on Instagram, completely covered in sweat, puffing, panting, shouting and dancing and having the best time ever. I stopped caring what people might think, and just showed up everyday to do what I absolutely loved. Helping people come together and make incredible, positive changes to their lives ignited a huge spark in me and I have never looked back.

We can’t always be in control of every aspect of our lives, and things won’t always go exactly to plan. Stay true to yourself, be kind, show integrity and come to terms with the fact that not every person on the planet is going to love you or your workouts, clothes, songs whatever it may be. Life is short, be willing to laugh at yourself and have fun along the way!
