With a background in business development, marketing, and event curation, Lara have successfully built a community-driven approach to business. Her goal has always been to empower individuals—especially women—by providing platforms to showcase their work and grow their ventures. Through Empowerher, she have organized several pop-up markets across Dubai, connecting entrepreneurs with wider audiences while fostering a collaborative community.

As a mother and multi-tasker, she balances her creativity with strategy, constantly striving to innovate and deliver meaningful experiences in everything she does. #LIFELESSON – 1- Believe in Your Vision, Even When Others Don’t

When I started Empowerher, I faced skepticism about whether a platform dedicated to women-led businesses could thrive in such a competitive space. Many doubted the concept of curating markets that focused on uplifting entrepreneurs while creating a community-centered approach. Despite the challenges, I believed deeply in my vision. I kept pushing forward, learning as I went, and finding creative ways to overcome obstacles. Today, Empowerher has hosted several successful events, built a loyal community, and gained recognition as a platform that truly makes a difference. This experience taught me that your belief in your vision is the foundation of success, even when the path forward isn’t clear.

#LIFELESSON – 2 - Resilience is Your Greatest Asset

Entrepreneurship is a rollercoaster—there are highs when things are going great, but the lows can be incredibly challenging. There were times when things didn’t go as planned, events didn’t meet expectations, or sales slowed down. I learned to see these moments not as failures, but as opportunities to adapt, learn, and grow. Resilience became my greatest strength—it helped me pivot, re-strategize, and come back stronger each time. Life has taught me that setbacks are part of the process, and how you respond to them is what defines your journey.

#LIFELESSON – 3 - Balance is a Constant Journey

As a mother, wife, and entrepreneur, I’ve learned the importance of finding balance in all aspects of life. There are times when I feel overwhelmed, trying to juggle my growing businesses with family responsibilities and personal growth. I used to believe I had to give 100% to everything, all the time. But over the years, I’ve learned that balance doesn’t mean perfection—it means prioritizing what truly matters in each moment and giving myself grace when things don’t go as planned. Whether it’s stepping back to spend time with my family or pouring my energy into a big project, I’ve come to see balance as an ongoing journey, not a destination.
