Today Nimi shares her biggest life lessons with us:

#LIFELESSON – 1 - Listen to Your Gut

Too often, we underestimate our intuition. Over the years, I’ve learned that gut feelings are our body’s way of picking up on things before our mind can logically process them. When I ignored my intuition in the past, I usually ended up regretting it—whether it was a job that didn’t align with my values or a relationship that left me feeling drained. Now, I make a conscious effort to tune in and trust my instincts. It’s not about paranoia or fear; it’s about self-awareness. Your gut is your built-in compass, guiding you toward what’s right for you, even if it’s not always the easiest path. By listening to it, I’ve found myself making better choices, especially in areas of my life where I feel most vulnerable. Trusting your gut is not about avoiding risks, but about moving forward with a stronger sense of direction.

#LIFELESSON – 2 - Surround Yourself with People Who Make You Feel “Big”

The people we spend time with shape us in more ways than we realize. I used to think I could handle any energy around me, but I learned that it’s essential to be surrounded by people who lift you up. I’m talking about those who celebrate your wins, even the small ones, and see your potential before you see it yourself. Although there were 10 people telling me I couldn’t achieve my dream, there was 1 or 2 who told me I could. Those are the voices I kept around. I seek out friendships and collaborations with those who inspire me and make me feel expansive. Being around “big” energy has given me the courage to take bigger steps and to show up as my most authentic self. It’s a reminder that the right people will challenge you to grow while offering a soft place to land.

#LIFELESSON – 3 - Nobody Knows What They’re Doing

This may be the most liberating lesson of all, especially as an entrepreneur. When I first started my business, I thought there was a “right” way to do things, a hidden blueprint that everyone but me seemed to have. But as I navigated the ups and downs, I realized that every business owner is figuring it out as they go. There is no single path to success, no right or wrong way to build something of your own. Challenges are inevitable, and setbacks are part of the process; they don’t mean you’re doing it wrong. In fact, each challenge has taught me more about resilience, adaptability, and trusting my vision. Entrepreneurship (and life!) is a journey of trial, error, and growth, where mistakes become the best teachers. Embracing this mindset has given me the freedom to take risks, learn from failures, and stay grounded in the fact that no one has it all figured out. We’re all just doing our best with what we know—and that’s good enough for me.
