• Matcha Menu at Brix Cafe

They had us at 'Matcha'. As the temperature soars and the sun shines brighter in Dubai, there's no better way to cool down and stay energized than with the refreshing and health-boosting qualities of matcha. Brix Café in Jumeirah Fishing Harbour has just unveiled its new Matcha Menu, a carefully curated selection of beverages, croissants, and indulgent desserts, all infused with the vibrant green tea powder that has taken the world by storm. Known for its unique flavour and numerous health benefits, matcha is the perfect ingredient to help guests stay refreshed and revitalized this summer.

Guests can start the day with freshly baked Matcha Croissant, filled with matcha creameux and topped with matcha crumble, or indulge in the Matcha Cream Croissant, topped with smooth matcha ice cream and vanilla crumbs. Dessert lovers will delight in the rich Matcha Basque Cheesecake, paired with yuzu sorbet and vanilla crumble, or the Matcha Cheesecake, featuring smooth matcha ganache topped with milk espuma and black tea crumble. • Celebrate Indonesian Independence Day with Andaliman, One Za’abeel

Andaliman, conceptualised to celebrate the Indonesian Archipelago’s culinary diversity, is set to reopen its season on Indonesian Independence Day. On Saturday, 17 August 2024, Andaliman will mark the occasion with a special sharing dish, "Tumpeng Merdeka," available exclusively on the day, designed by Chef Ismawan Dzabir to honour the rich heritage of Indonesia and its cuisine while embracing the spirit of freedom and togetherness.

This Indonesian Independence Day, diners at Andaliman, Dubai’s are invited to mark the occasion and delight in this sharing style dish, which can be made for groups of two and more. The experience will begin with a service of customary crackers and sambals before progressing to the star of the show, the "Tumpeng Merdeka" which includes the Beef Rendang featuring braised Australian Angus beed cheek with fresh coconut milk, fragrant spices and coconut rice, Perkedel, the authentic Indonesian potato cake, Terong Balado, which is wok-fried aubergines with red sambal, Ayam Goreng Lengkuas spotlighting Indonesian fried chicken with galangal floss, and Sate Udang Madu with coconut BBQ sustainable prawns, honey and calamansi chili sauce. The experience will be completed with a decadent dessert, the Goelali with Andaliman Caramel with dark chocolate ganache. The menu also comes with a complimentary welcome mocktail or beverage, encompassing the fresh and vibrant flavours of Indonesia. Priced at AED 320 for two.
