JOB TITLE: Director of Private Lifestyle at Quintessentially
MOVED TO THE UAE IN: 2010
Daisy has 15 years of experience with the luxury lifestyle brand Quintessentially and is their Dubai Ambassador. Onboarding new clients is her responsibility at this members-only concierge club. She identifies the right clientele who would benefit from the luxury membership (starting at $11,000 annually), demonstrates its value to them, and ensures the concierge team can exceed their expectations before signing them up.
Let's discover a day in Daisy's world:
6AM: My first hour of the day is spent walking my dog, Jed. My day involves a lot of phone calls and interactions with prospective members, so this is my favorite part of the day, since I listen to Podcasts and have quiet time. I also love Dubai in the early morning before the hustle and bustle begins - it's like seeing it from a different angle.
8AM: By now I'd already be talking to my American colleagues; we're a global concierge team, so we have to work around multiple time zones.
10AM: I've reviewed all new membership applications that came in overnight and caught up on WhatsApp communication. Most of my communication with clients is via WhatsApp, so it's very fast-paced. As I am often called/messaged by prospects with a free window to chat, I must be ready to jump on whenever they are available.
12NOON: I'll be on my way to a meeting soon, either with an existing member catching up over coffee, or meeting a prospective member for the first time. Keeping up to date on Dubai lifestyle trends and openings, I often visit new restaurants and venues, so there's a chance I might meet with an important contact there as well.
2PM: Lunch! My team and I love catching up over a casual lunch to strengthen relationships and bond, rather than between office walls. As we are often invited to places, we take advantage of these opportunities to bond as a team.
4PM: Having a strong network of relationships and making new connections is extremely important to me. As a result, if I'm attending a societal event, I'd be wrapping up my day by now to prepare for it. It could be our own members soiree, a luxury brand preview or launch, a restaurant opening, or even a dinner invitation.
10PM: Calendar blocking helps me stay on top of my schedule, and where possible, I preschedule the next day before bed. When I've done that, I love to switch off and wind down by watching a good movie, as it allows my busy mind to slow down!
