Let's discover a day in the life and the career or Roota:
8AM: I typically wake up between 7 and 8 AM. I'm a big breakfast person and usually starving by the time I wake up—so no one should talk to me until I'm done eating, haha! After that, it's time to get ready for work. I juggle between working from home and going to my favourite co-working space. One productivity hack I swear by: even when working from home, wear your best clothes and put on some makeup. It makes it super easy to show up, feel your best, and even record content on the go! :)
10AM: I’m grateful to have the ability to structure my workdays with only necessary meetings. So, once a week we have our team huddle on Mondays to set up ourselves for success. We discuss the 3 top weekly outcomes we’ll achieve as a team, and individually as well. I always start the day by looking at the business numbers - ad spent, ad roi, revenue, profits, sales and inquiries booked. I firmly believe what you measure, grows so it’s very important to look at your business data first thing in the morning.
12NOON: On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I host intimate weekly coaching calls with my mastermind clients. These coaching calls always energise me as we discuss their progress, launch debriefs, and I get to put my marketing hat on to audit the marketing campaigns they're running in their companies. On days without coaching calls, I focus on creation—writing or editing my book, recording video content for social media, filming ad videos for our advertising campaigns, and optimising our funnels.
2PM: Lunch time is when I take a breather to call my family, my sister, or just yap with a friend. After lunch, I love walking around the block while chatting away on the phone. These post-meal walks keep me moving during the day (because who doesn't need that?). And hello 30s—I've learned my lesson about sitting all day! Now I hop up every hour for a quick fruit or snack break, because nobody's got time for those backaches!
4PM: I intend to accomplish 3 outcomes for the day - and feel content I’ve done my best for the day. And I’m not of the mindset that you need to hustle more to be more successful. At this point, I circle back to any emails or coaching enquires which have popped in during the day and take care of them. I also review content that my team creates to make sure it’s good to go out the next day. I also look at other assets that the team created that needs my approval. I do make sure to complete deep tasks in the morning/noon time and move review/communication tasks for the end of the day.
6PM: This is the time, I usually pop in for a yoga or pilates reformer class 2-3 times a week. Or just go out for a walk near the beach to detach from the day’s work. These are the times when I get my best ideas as well since I’m not attached to my laptop or a phone! I love to take a bath and jump into cosy pajamas after work to truly de-stress from the day - a hack to get the best sleep!
8PM: It’s time for dinner and spending time with my husband as we wrap up our day.
