Super Power- I help women save time in a morning by fixing their make up in the most natural way and enhancing their beauty. Dream job!”
Let's discover a day in the life of Sian today:
5:30am
Wake up, enjoy my morning coffee and start to wake my son up. Lily is already wide awake. By 7am we need to be out the house for school drop off. Lots of kisses to my baby Lily before we head out. It’s always hectic in a morning.
I drive straight to Brow Industry for work after school drop off to beat the traffic! If I went home I would be stuck in the town square traffic for 20 mins no thanks 😆Listening to a podcast on the way- I like Steven- diary of a CEO. I find I get through so many podcasts this way or audibles making the most out of my time. I also love the Mindset Mentor and The School of Greatness.
8:30am
My amazing assistant Vilma is waiting for me with my cup of tea and we are ready to start creating some magic! Everything has been sterilized and set up. As an SPMU artist hygiene is paramount. I double check my supplies for my first client.
First client of the day! Brows for my fabulous client Leanne who I have been seeing for years and years! She wants a touch of colour to boost what has faded with sun and time over the year. We draw the shape again and check that’s on point, go over the pigment colour choice and check it’s the perfect match for her skin tone. Communication is key to creating the perfect look. My clients visit me once a year generally fur colour boosts.
12pm
I am onto my 3rd client now (it’s been a morning of retouches) but now it’s a fresh set now of a lash line. I love this treatment so much - it literally fills in the gaps between your lashes making your lash line look thicker/fuller and your eye colour will PoP! Undetectable beauty -just what I love.
After my lash line treatment I am active online for a little bit/responding to comments or preparing future posts. Every client has a unique approach and so it’s super important the time is dedicated to their needs.
3pm
Heading out the door to drive home to see my little baby Lily who is 7 months old! Feed her sweet potato and mango for desert- tried mixing it up but her belly is saying no atm with excessive gas so back to basics we go. Tickles and giggles for this little lady. I missed her!
4pm
Luca is home from school so we chat about his day and grab snacks. Sometimes it’s footie training but not this evening.
I’m also dipping into administrative duties whether it might be accounts/queries from my other salon The Retreat Beauty Salon/social media catch ups with my account manager Billie/HR duties from The Retreat. The list is always long but I’m good at working my way through the to do list so it all gets ticked off. The afternoon is spent with the family and hearing about each others days.
6pm
Dinner time! I have started HelloChef to literally take the edge off the day thinking what to make. I am certainly no Nigella Lawson. It’s chicken Gyros tonight -nom nom. I particularly love when we all sit round the table it’s my favorite (including Lily in her high chair) to chat about the day. Joe is usually home by this time and it’s lovely hearing about what he’s been up to. He’s also working on some super cool projects at the moment.
7pm
After dinner it’s sorting the kids out for wind down/we like to take Charlie and Nelly out for a walk (our little doggies) Lily will come in her pram/Luca is playing on his PS. Later we watch a little bit of a series- loving Amanda Land atm so funny. Lily settled to sleep after her bath.
9pm
Shower time /use my Lumi Spa to take off my make up- cleanse tone moisturize I am using La Roche Posay atm and using hylaronic acid again by the same brand to get some more moisture in there.
10pm
Have another cuppa and wind down. Luca settles to sleep and I have a quick plan of the day for tomorrow. Every day is super busy like this but I absolutely love what I do and my family. It’s a balance of having a career with motherhood but we do get that right balance if the day is structured well. I’m living my dream job whilst embracing the precious family moments. Lily has another feed at 11pm then she’s away to sleep again!
Night Gals!
