NAME: Rosie Gunn
AGE: 32

JOB TITLE: Founder & CEO of Endless
MOVED TO THE UAE IN: 2022 (after spending many years of a lot of long trips visiting family here)
Rosie Gunn is the founder of Endless, the UAE's leading circular fashion platform. Endless (www.endless.ae) is a circular fashion tech platform, that powers the rental and resale for people and brands. Their mission is to empower women to look and feel great whilst being kind to the planet!
With over a decade of experience in the fashion industry and nearly six years as an entrepreneur, Rosie is passionate about making luxury fashion accessible while of course promoting sustainability and making the world a better place. After studying Fashion and Textiles Business at The University of Manchester and then working as a buyer at Marks & Spencer HQ London in Womenswear (Dresses) and Lingerie (Fashion Sets), Rosie recognised a gap in the market for fashion rental beyond the dated prom dress niche.
In 2019, Rosie launched Endless in the UK, and in 2023, she brought it to the UAE. Her mission is to redefine shopping by offering stylish, circular alternatives to fast-fashion, encouraging mindful consumption for a better planet - to make shopping circular just as good as shopping new.
Let's discover a day in Rosie's world:
7AM: On days without early meetings or calls, I cherish a 1-2 hour “power hour” in bed with my first cup of coffee of the day. This quiet time is invaluable for focusing on urgent emails, team messages, and approvals. I find it incredibly productive to use this time to tackle important tasks when I am alone and undisturbed before the day begins!
10AM: My days are really so different and varied— no two days are ever the same. This time can be often spent on calls or meetings with the team, partners or other. Very fortunately we now have an amazing team who manage a lot of the day-to-day orders, logistics, socials and customer service which lets me focus more on how we grow the company and our strategy to do so. We've bootstrapped the company so far (in the UAE) and developed the tech ourselves which has allowed us to implement new ideas quickly. Bootstrapping a business that is rapidly growing isn’t easy - but fortunately I have a lot of learnings from building Endless in the UK, and have made sure to have a strong hard-working team around me to support our ambitious growth plans!
1PM: At lunchtime I try to step outside for some fresh air and to get a quick dose of vitamin D, even if it’s just for a very quick moment. I love checking our IG account and seeing customers tag us in the outfits they’ve rented from Endless, or our tiktok account as the team are so good at them now, they really make me laugh. If I need a pick me up I sometimes look at our latest trustpilot reviews, as we have really lovely customers who definitely make me feel like it’s all worth it.
4PM: My afternoons can be filled with more meetings or calls, or I might be strategising things with my co-founder or team. Ideally I would have my head down working on various projects, partnerships, business planning, and marketing strategies, especially as we prepare for our first investment round here, which requires intense focus, a lot of work, and numerous discussions and meetings. I’m also heavily involved with building out our tech roadmap as well, so we can continue to improve our platform, services and user journey - enhancing our offering to our brands and users. I find this part really exciting as it’s the crux of the whole business, but also I really saw how women changed the way they shopped fashion a lot as I built my first business in the UK - and I can’t wait for Endless to have a similar impact now in the UAE.
6PM: Depending on my schedule and where I am that day, if I haven’t paused and stopped working - I make sure I go for a power walk around the Marina to clear my head. Or I go to reformer pilates once a week. I aim to incorporate more fitness into my routine, but with the business still in its very early stages out here, and with our team still quite small, it’s a challenge! I am often working over the weekend as well at the moment. Our upcoming investment round is going to allow us to grow the team further and I'll make sure I can make a bit more time for myself at that stage.
7PM: Dinner time with my business partner and fiancé, Chris. We try to avoid discussing work, although it’s often hard to resist! I enjoy experimenting with new recipes every week to keep things as varied and interesting as possible - I love to switch off by cooking with a glass of red wine and a good playlist. My go-to for recipes is Emily English, whether on TikTok or from her book - they are delicious and balanced! After dinner, I aim to switch off and enjoy a good series (I just finished Nobody Wants This), but more often than not, I find myself still working.
11PM: I try to go to bed by 11pm during the week, though I'm naturally a night owl!
