If cutting down on ultra processed food, producing less waste and improving the quality of the ingredients you buy is on your to-do-list for 2025, here’s the answer to your prayers…
These days, supermarkets are packed with ultra processed food (UPF) in shiny plastic boxes and packets designed for convenience. Everything is weighed, branded and engineered to last for months in our cupboards and most of us blindly shop like this every week, if not every day,
We all know it’s going to take a lot to break these habits, especially in the UAE, but there’s a new concept in town which is challenging the status quo.
So, when I was invited to go and check out Scoop Wholefoods Dubai – a new concept in Springs Souk which has haled from Australia and has 17 locations including branches in Singapore and United Kingdom, I was intrigued to find out if it could sway me towards a more organic, zero waste way of living.
// Pantry goals
If you have been on a mission to give your pantry that Khloe Kardashian or Deliciously Ella aesthetic, Scoop is the place to do it. Offering organic, sustainable, and nutrient-rich foods, which are natural and ethically sourced, everything is designed to be stored in airtight containers. It’s out with the Tupperware and in with the glass jars – perfect for your TikTok or Instagram kitchen tour.
Think organic grains and activated seeds and nuts, gut-friendly foods, homemade nut butters, oils and vinegars on tap, dried fruit, trending supplements such as Lion’s Mane and other fermented mushrooms, homemade crisps and cereal, and so much more.

// Low-tox living
Stocking beauty products, cleaning materials, home essentials and even 100% organic cotton sanitary towels and tampons, Scoop Wholefoods Dubai is a one-stop shop for health-conscious consumers who want clean, high-quality ingredients and, side note, it’s truly a beautiful, peaceful setting to shop.
Sustainability
With a strong focus on sustainability, Scoop Wholefoods Dubai encourages mindful eating by providing bulk-buy options, plastic-free packaging and eco-friendly alternatives. Most of us want to be able to shop like this but have never had the option – now we do. Hurrah!
// Your shopping list. Here are a few of my top family products to stock up on:
Nut butters (made in store)
Blue Mountains honey (absolutely divine. Sourced from Australia)
Natural electrolytes (ask the team to guide you)
Activated nuts and seeds (try some of the flavour combinations and choose your favourite)
Herbal teas (I went with chamomile – now I just need to buy my bougee teapot to go with it)
Cacao (I’ve got the Beetroot and Cacao elixir)
Hifas da Terra vitamins (some lovely options for the kids)
Make your own energy/bliss ball jars (these are so clever!)
Healthy sweet treats (start with the White Chocolate Matcha Freeze Dried Strawberries – these are seriously good.)
You can also choose from four varieties of on-tap Kombucha and loads of gorgeous, dried fruit snacks and homemade chocolate. Delicious!

// Don’t be put off
I’ve walked past Scoop a couple of times since it opened late last year and wondered if it was a ‘IYKYK’ kind of place. Some sort of a club that I’m not a part of. BUT once inside I realised, you don’t need to be a green goddess or a mum who only feeds her kids non-UPF, organic, vegan etc. etc. …you get the gist.
Scoop Wholefoods Dubai is designed for everyone. What I love the most if that you buy only what you need.
// Female founders on a mission
Scoop Wholefoods Dubai founders, Iryna Nestsiarovich and Victoria Pilinko who met in Singapore whilst working at Google, recommend having an initiation or Scoop ‘onboarding’ during your first visit – a chance to get the lowdown on why this is the best place to shop for your family.
The best friend duo spotted a gap in the market for the Middle East's first zero-waste shopping experience and have done an amazing job of ensuring Scoop’s first foray into the UAE aligns beautifully with the region – visit during Ramadan and ask them for some of their Suhoor and Iftar favourites.
