We're passionate about all things women's health, just not a massive fan of Pink October and all the #pinkwashing going on. The good news is that there is more meaningful activities and activations happening around the UAE and so here's our round-up of those worth a look.

Gargash Hospital Launches 'Future is Her' Initiative with Being She to Enhance Breast Cancer Prevention on October 5th. This initiative is part of a broader commitment to women's health and aims to raise awareness about the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer.


The event will take place at Gargash Hospital on Oct 5th between10am and 6pm, during which all female visitors can enrol for a routine gynaecological checkup and get free screening vouchers, which can be utilized throughout the month of October 2024. A variety of health scans tailored to women of different age groups will be available. These include ABUS (Automated Breast Ultrasound), routine ultrasound scans, and specific scans designed for women under 40 and those over 40, ensuring comprehensive care for all women.

  • Kempinski Hotel Turns Pink for a Cause with Aspen Café’s Pink Afternoon Tea


This October, Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates partners with Al Jalila Foundation to present the exclusive Pink Afternoon Tea at Aspen Café, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During the month10% of proceeds from the Pink Afternoon Tea will be donated to the foundation to support breast cancer patients and their families.   • Mr Toad’s teams up with IGNITE Pink is Punk for breast cancer research


Mr Toad’s, Dubai’s go-to, family-friendly destination for big-screen sports action and great food and beverage deals, is teaming up with IGNITE Pink is Pump in support of the fight against breast cancer this October. Under the initiative, Mr Toad’s will donate AED3 from every order on specially-selected menu items to the Al Jalila Foundation for cancer research, from 1 to 30 October. Dishes include healthy options like Kale Caesar Salad and Vegan Superfood Salad, and the ever-popular Mr Toad’s Burger and Veggie Burger. Mr Toad’s 2024 breast cancer activation builds on the success of last year’s event, which also included a donation to Al Jalila from proceeds from food orders.

  • Drinkit Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Special Pinktober Initiative


The UAE’s digital-first coffee shop Drinkit has pledged to donate 10% of proceeds from four signature drinks to the Emirates Cancer Foundation throughout the month. Customers can indulge in favourites like the Raspberry Latte and Iced Thyme Blueberry Latte with Cheese Foam at Drinkit’s locations across the UAE, all while supporting breast cancer awareness, treatment, and research.

Premium lingerie brand HANRO will be collaborating with Al Jalila Foundation during the month of October to support Breast Cancer Awareness - donating 15% of all bra sales to the foundation. HANRO store can be found on the second floor of The Dubai Mall’s Luxury Fashion Extension Dubai Mall.

  • Dine for Cause - Destination Mina Seyahi Launches Pinktober Campaign


In support of raising awareness about Breast Cancer Awareness Month, W Dubai – Mina Seyahi, The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina and Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark are giving a portion of proceeds from events across the properties running during the month of PINKober to Al Jalila Foundation in a bid to drive donations to the exceptional work being carried out by the organization.
