Indie independent salon "That Hair Tho" located in The Dome in JLT had a little revamp to their
beauty rooms and as a big fan of this ethical, vegan and kind salon, we were excited to give it a try.
In line with their usual ethos, all treatments at THT for the face and body only use clean products,
whilst also offering a different R&R experience through design and creative lighting. You don’t
just walk into a salon beauty room, the 30 minutes, 1 hour or more you spend in the room,
you’re transported to The Northern lights with a relaxing brilliant light show in the room. Throw in
your choice of music and you’re all set for a highly personalized pamper session.
With a menu of massages and facials, therapists who are all experienced and knowledgeable and
carefully selected products from leading clean and ethical brands, all is done with the individual
client in mind. We chose to do a facial and a massage, as why not whilst we were there and so we
settled in for 2 hours of “us time”. We literally laid back and thought of The Northern Lights and it
was magical. Our massage therapist had many years of experience and our hour was skilled,
thorough and we felt revitalized and relaxed afterwards. The massage was followed up with a
facial using the brand PHformula which was new to us, but is a cruelty-free range formulated using
organic vegan ingredients, such as bio-retinol and plant acids. I am very passionate about skin and
as someone who has regular facials, I do enjoy trying new brands and was impressed with how the
products felt during the treatments and then afterwards too. I could feel the active ingredients
working and my skin felt clean and glowing. The next day and in the days that followed
THT is a great example of a salon that gets it right with well-trained staff, thought-out product
selection, a lovely experience and prices that won’t break the bank. You don’t have to go to a 5
star hotel to get all of those things and there are some real hidden gems right on your doorstep
and in your community, just like this.
