Tashkeel returns for its second year at the Sikka Arts and Design Festival 2025, which is held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, and brings an exciting array of interactive workshops and a curated display of local design.
The festival, which celebrates creativity, community, and the vibrant cultural scene of Dubai, will host Tashkeel at two unique units: House 15 and House 436, among more than 40 public art pieces and installations spread across 19 houses in the Shindagha neighbourhood, its courtyards, and along Dubai Creek
Unit One: House 15:
House 15 will feature a series of dynamic, hands-on workshops suitable for all ages and skill levels, designed to inspire creativity and engage participants in the artistic process. The workshops’ details are as follows:
Sikka 2025: Walk-in & Print Riso
Instructor: Bassem Boules
Dates: 31 January – 9 February 2025 | 5:00 – 10:00 PM
Location: House 15
Fees: AED 50 (+VAT)This drop-in session invites participants to explore the art of Riso printing, creating vibrant, layered prints. Each session lasts one hour, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Sikka 2025: Walk-in Collaborative Canvas
Dates: 31 January – 9 February 2025 | 5:00 – 10:00 PM
Location: House 15Open to the public, this collaborative experience allows attendees to contribute to a large communal canvas, creating a living, evolving work of art that reflects the collective creativity of the festival participants. Each session lasts one hour.

Fees: AED 50 (+VAT)This workshop combines silkscreen printing with hand-painting to create personalized tote bags. Each session lasts one hour, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sikka 2025: Create Your Own Custom Keychain
Instructor: Shiena Fenol

Fees: AED 100 (+VAT)Participants will create their own custom keychains using UV resin, experimenting with various molds and pigments. Limited spaces available.
Unit Two: House 436
In addition to the workshops, Tashkeel will showcase a selection of unique products from the Tashkeel Shop, including items from its renowned design initiatives, Tanween (The Alchemy Series: Dining Table by Chinara Darwish) and Tasmeem Tashkeel (Ghaf Chair). House 436 will highlight the creativity and craftsmanship of local designers, offering an opportunity for festivalgoers to discover one-of-a-kind design pieces and explore Tashkeel’s contribution to Dubai’s dynamic art and design scene.
