Your Long Weekend Watchlist // Mufasa: The Lion King Roars Onto Disney+ and More!

This long weekend, relive the magic of the Pride Lands from the comfort of your home. Premiering March 26th, “Mufasa: The Lion King” will stream exclusively on Disney+ in the UAE.

Rediscover the epic tale in a new way - the latest live-action from Disney is streaming in both Egyptian and MSA, as well as in Hindi, featuring the legendary Shah Rukh Khan. That’s right – the legendary Bollywood star voices the character of Mufasa, along with his sons Aryan Khan as Simba and AbRam Khan as young Mufasa.

Told through the eyes of Rafiki, “Mufasa: The Lion King” follows the epic tale of the unlikely rise of the Pride Lands’ beloved King. Left orphaned and alone, young Mufasa finds an unexpected ally in a lion prince named Taka. Their bond sets the stage for a story of resilience, brotherhood, and destiny—a journey shaped by challenges, alliances, and the choices that forge a legacy.

The streaming service has also unveiled an exciting lineup of premieres for 2025. Titles include FX’s highly anticipated “Alien: Earth,” Lucasfilm’s “Andor” season 2 returning for its long-awaited conclusion, as well as the newest instalment in National Geographic’s Emmy-winning “Secrets of” franchise, “Secrets of the Penguins,”.

Plus, don’t miss the return of critically acclaimed and multiple Emmy® award-winning series FX’s “The Bear” season 4, “Only Murders in the Building” season 5, and “Percy Jackson and The Olympians” season 2.
